FOOTSTEPS Youth Theatre is inclusive of all young people and supported by a dedicated Foroige Youth Worker and a drama facilitator. There are no elites through auditions or appearance. The project is consciously directed to all who want to join to explore not only the production of a piece of theatre but the process of drama workshops. Drama makes it all possible for people to participate.
We want to enhance the Creativity and Entrepreneurship of all the youth theatre members.
Initiative, the ability to be creative, original thinking, risk-taking and imagination are amongst the main goals of the drama project. In Footsteps Youth Theatre we discuss issues and also present them through an artistic process, to reach out to and engage an audience. In these activities, the initiative of the young actors is expanded. Working in a team, harnessing creativity and achieving original aesthetic solutions are essential elements of the drama process. The moderation and feedback from the facilitator gives the participants confidence and increases their willingness to explore, to take risks. The protected environment of the drama group and support of the Foroige youth worker shows young people their own creative potential, but also reveals its limitations and thus encourages young people to become self-directed learners and active agents of social change.
